Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: Streak Stretches to Six; Henrik Out of Sochi The Vancouver Canucks' slump continued as Max Pacioretty scored a hat trick for the Montreal Canadiens on the way to handing Vancouver a 5-2 loss on Thursday night.

Really sucks for Letang...

Wish him a speedy recovery.

But does this mean the Penguins will be in the market for an offensive D?

I think the no movement today just shows how tough it is in the current nhl.

Agreed. Limited cap space, tons of NTC's and too many teams still in the hunt. The sellers are smart to wait until the last hour after the break.

Sounds like everyone was back skating today, the exeption being Hank, so we make have a better effort against the Leafs.

Ehhhh, I guess he's more of a puck mover. I could live with that. That 1st better turn out to be good or it's gonna be another typical Gillis trade.

But seriously, Yannick must hate Diaz. Second time he's lost out on his spot on the depth chart due to him.

We may see some friendly fire in the Swiss games.

Yup. And Bennet is damaged goods...

Weber will be firing slappers at Diaz's face, and Diaz will be shooting laser-beam passes under Weber's skates.

All out war.

Who says the Swiss are neutral? They just make war on each other...

EDIT: culminating in a Semin-like bongo fight during a game.

Is that including Tanev, Bieksa, Santorelli along with Daniel's/Burrow's goal scoring ability?

Adam Tambellini kickin ass with the Calgary Hitmen, looks to be a good 3rd round pick for the NYR'ers.

I see this more like the St Louis Blues situation, they went from first overall in 2006 (which we won't be doing) to a 40+ win season and the playoffs three years later. #greatdrafting which started in 2013.

Yup.

Would you prefer him over Cassels, if he was still available at 85?

Personally, that would be a difficult choice for me.

Cassels was considered a reach by some, but has performed better than we could have hoped.

The question is how much have his points inflated playing with Laughton and Dal Colle for stretches.

Either way, Cassels is a good pick, and has his grinding/defensive game to fall back on if his offense doesn't transfer as well to pro.
